training for a half marathon – week 1

How can I put this nicely?… Week one of my half marathon training was a complete disaster. I ran precisely zero times. Ze-ro. The one saving grace is that it wasn't lack of motivation; I was just tired. Really tired. I needed the sleep and the physical rest.

The one thing I retain from this is that for all your best planning, things will happen that will dampen your efforts and make you readjust. And I'm ok with that! There really is no point in beating myself up about it, I need to save that energy for week two of training.

Monday morning run, here comes the Joey!

 

Weeks: 1 done (if this counts, really!), 9 to go.

Mood: Tired.
