Twitter – that awesome source of information – told me today was #WorldToiletDay. I laughed, there's a day for absolutely everything I thought. And then I googled it, I really had to find out more about this. Turns out I had to eat my own laughter and look in awe to those who had this fabulous idea!
World Toilet Day is a day to take action. It is a day to raise awareness about all people who do not have access to a toilet – despite the human right to water and sanitation.
Working in communications, I marvelled at the genius who came up with this witty, funny and alternative way to bring access to water to the agenda. It got me searching and it got me thinking when I found it – what can I do to help?
The website has a great ideas page, from writing poo and toilet songs to printing very cool posters to put up in public toilets. Check it out… that's precisely what I'm doing now 🙂
