training for a half marathon – week 4


Tough and tiring and tough and tiring. In a nutshell, this was what my running week was all about.

Massage. Deep tissue full body massage is pretty much the only thing on my mind right now. And it's precisely what I plan to give myself for the next few weeks. Turns out my little body needs it. A good massage helps with training and helps with the recovery. I have a massage stick and it helps, but it's not quite the same!

long run day is proving quite the challenge, not so much for the run but for the post-run. All I feel like doing is chilling on the sofa having tea and knitting. Sounds great, I'm sure, but I have other things to sort and they go largely unsorted…!

Weeks: 4 done (6 to go)
Mood: tired, very tired (and yet so determined I can do this!)
